Checking the route

For a short introduction to Logar Valley, start at the tourist information center near Hotel Plesnik and choose the path to Palenk waterfall. For a longer day through the valley, begin at Logar Farm and follow the main trail toward Rinka. These starts serve different outings, even though both belong to the same trail network.

The valley trail connects woodland, meadows, old farmsteads and streams beneath the mountain wall. Its interest is spread along the floor of the valley. You can enjoy that landscape on a selected section rather than making the distant waterfall the measure of a successful visit.

A short outing from the middle of the valley

The park's trail description identifies the tourist information center and Hotel Plesnik as access points. From there one branch leads to Palenk waterfall; another follows a dry riverbed to join the main route.

Choose Palenk for a short return outing. Go back to the same start on the established path, leaving the main valley route for another day. The park describes part of the Palenk approach as suitable for wheelchairs; that statement applies to the identified section, not every connecting path or the full trail. Ask at the information center which part fits your requirements before setting out.

The full trail needs its return

The complete Logar Valley Trail begins at the bridge above Logar Farm and continues toward Rinka waterfall. The park gives 7 km (4.3 mi) and 2–3 hours one way. Returning on foot makes roughly 14 km (8.7 mi), calculated by doubling the published distance, with stops added to the walking time.

That is a full valley day for someone who wants to see the changing landscape on foot. It is too much to add casually after a late arrival for a short waterfall visit. Starting farther up the road shortens a particular section, but you then need the correct parking place and route junction for that start.

Match arrival to the section

A drop-off at the entrance to the landscape park leaves you below Plesnik and the upper trailheads. Drivers should choose a designated stopping or parking area near their intended access point. The park's entry rules distinguish the motor-vehicle entrance fee from arrival on foot or bicycle; the payment schedule is not a timetable for an internal bus.

Keep a Palenk visit centered on its own start. For the full trail, take food and time for the return, and check the current upper-section conditions with the park information center before committing to Rinka. Our route-shape guide is useful when deciding whether a tempting one-way distance fits the day you actually have.
