One Good Place / Project notes

Privacy

Your checklist and trip choices stay in your browser.

Local storage

The comparison, packing and trip worksheet tools can save your choices in local storage on this device and website address. This is not cloud synchronization. Your notes and custom packing items are not sent to a database by these tools.

You can move saved plans to another website address or device with the local JSON backup and import. Selecting a backup previews it; only explicit confirmation replaces the listed saved sections. The file is not uploaded and does not include your analytics choice. It contains unencrypted notes and custom items, so keep it private.

Each tool lets you remove its own saved data. Clearing browser storage can also remove it. Private browsing or browser settings may prevent saving; printing and downloading remain available.

Requests and third parties

Vercel hosts this website and receives ordinary web requests, which can include an IP address and technical request data. External source links lead to sites with their own privacy practices. Fonts, photographs and generated artwork are served with this site.

No account or advertising tracker

This MVP has no account, checkout, newsletter enrollment or advertising tracker. Contact drafts are prepared locally unless you explicitly use a working email link. An email service follows its own privacy policy.

Optional analytics

Optional analytics is off until you select Allow page analytics below. This choice covers Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and our private action and performance collector. We ask for a fresh choice when this scope changes; an earlier page-count or action-only choice does not enable it. You can turn analytics off again at any time. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. The choice is saved on this browser. If saving fails, optional collection is off for the current page. If an old choice cannot be removed either, check it again after reopening.

Page counts and Google Analytics

When allowed, Google Analytics receives public page paths, page titles, basic guide and planning-action identifiers, and performance measurements. Our integration removes query parameters and fragments from page locations and reduces referrers to the source site origin. It does not send search words, plan notes, custom packing items, form contents, personal budgets or account identifiers. Google receives ordinary technical request information as the analytics provider and may derive device and approximate location information. Analytics cookies are created only after you allow analytics, with a configured lifetime of 90 days. Turning analytics off stops our collection and attempts to remove these first-party analytics cookies. Google Signals, advertising personalization and session replay are not enabled.

Google Analytics reports and retention follow the property settings and Google's policies. See Google's privacy policy. Vercel Web Analytics receives the public page URL without query parameters or fragments, plus technical information such as browser, device and approximate location derived by Vercel. Our integration skips Vercel page views when a referrer contains a path or query. Vercel uses a limited-lived visitor hash rather than an account or advertising cookie. The current free plan provides a one-month reporting window; this is not a promise that Vercel deletes all data after one month. See Vercel Analytics privacy documentation.

Private action and performance measurements

With the same choice, a private Vercel Blob store receives fixed actions such as starting a tool, saving, restoring, requesting an export or encountering a save error, plus technical page-performance values such as loading time, interaction delay and layout shifts. Only allowlisted guide/tool identifiers, broad error and performance categories, numeric performance values and schema numbers are accepted. A random journey identifier lives only in this tab's memory and expires after inactivity; it resets on reload or revocation. The records include a server receipt time and are kept until private maintenance removes them; no automatic deletion period is currently enforced. The collector does not store your notes, search text, custom items, budgets, raw URLs, referrers or IP addresses. Vercel still receives ordinary technical request information as the host.

Collection can be blocked by your browser, privacy signals or service limits. It does not represent every visitor, confirm that a file was saved or prove that a traveler returned. Ordinary hosting requests still occur when optional analytics is off.
