Minoh Falls makes a straightforward valley outing from Hankyu Minoh Station: follow the waterfall approach, stop at the falls and return the same way. The 33 m waterfall is the destination, while the insect museum, Ryūanji Temple and maple-leaf sweets can turn the approach into a slower half-day.

Start at the Hankyu station

The park’s access page directs rail travelers to change from the Hankyu Takarazuka Line at Ishibashi Handai-mae onto the Minoh Line. Alight at Minoh Station. Minoh-Kayano is a different station: the park lists bus connections from there to the Hankyu station.

From Minoh Station, the operator estimates five minutes to the park entrance at Ichinohashi and 40–50 minutes to the falls. The latter is the outward walk from the station, not a complete park circuit. Retracing it means roughly 80–100 minutes of walking by simple doubling, before rests and visits; your own pace and conditions will change that.

The park prohibits general vehicles, including bicycles, from entering. Leave the car or bicycle outside and walk the approach. The upper waterfall parking area is another starting point with a steep approach; it is not the station walk described here.

Let the valley stops set your pace

The tourism association’s suggested course places the tourist information office beside the station, then shops selling momiji tempura, the insect museum, Ryūanji and the waterfall along the outing. Choose a museum visit or temple pause if those interest you rather than trying to meet the sample clock times. The association labels its fuller sightseeing course 3.5 hours, which includes more than walking directly to the falls.

At the end, the waterfall listing identifies the drop as 33 m. Return down the same valley approach to Minoh Station. For a larger forest loop, read the separate route description and allow more time; it is not a shortcut back from this outing.

What changed in the recent notices

The park’s September 27 notice says the temporary station-side entrance closure for unexploded-ordnance disposal was lifted that day. On October 17, the park homepage showed zero emergency notices and marked the October 8–9 roadside weeding as finished. Recheck this feed before walking; weather can still trigger restrictions.

Keep the return to the station in your plan even if the shops invite a longer stop.
