Cát Tiên’s Giant Trees: Choose the Short Vehicle-and-Walk Route
Visit the Tung tree, Gõ tree and Bến Cự rapids on the park’s short forest service, keeping its walking stops separate from the vehicle distance.

Cát Tiên’s giant trees are a reason to stop inside the forest rather than simply drive through it. Choose the park’s short Tung tree–Gõ tree–Bến Cự route if you want several close-up tree visits with transport between them. It combines a vehicle with walking at the stops; the advertised distance is not a three-kilometre forest hike.
Book the short route by name
The park’s published service sheet calls this route 1.1 and gives about 3 km and one hour. Its table explicitly describes vehicle travel with walks of 100–300 m at individual sights. A guide is included in that service. Ask reception for that named short route and agree the current departure, price and return to the centre before setting off.
At each stop, leave the vehicle with the guide, follow the permitted walking approach and return to the agreed meeting point. The trees are the main purpose of this visit; Bến Cự adds the river landscape. Do not turn a stop into a separate unsupervised branch while the vehicle waits. Staying with the arranged service keeps the forest return clear.
The sheet also permits independent walking visits, but its one-hour estimate belongs to the vehicle product. It cannot be used to time an all-walking version. Longer tree routes and Bàu Sấu require a different commitment; neither is an automatic extension of this outing.
Reach the park before counting forest time
The park’s road-transport information offers direct local services to the gate and a coach-plus-transfer option via Phương Lâm. For the latter, arrange the transfer when booking rather than assuming the intercity coach reaches reception. Confirm the opposite chain for departure too: park return, gate transfer and onward coach.
If staying across the river, include the visitor crossing in both directions and establish its operating arrangement with reception. The short forest service does not cover your whole journey from accommodation. Contact the park on +84 251 3669 228 to settle those connections and the current access position.
Rain can change walking conditions. Wear shoes with grip and follow the park’s seasonal advice on insects and leeches. Keep to the permitted paths and leave the tree roots and bark undamaged.
