Checking the route

Ba Vì’s wild sunflowers grow among the lower mountain forest near the 400-metre pine area. Choose this stop for a walk through yellow flowers and trees, with a return to the same parking place. It is a lower-forest visit: adding the upper temples would introduce another road journey and climb.

Park beyond the pine forest

The park’s 2026 guide gives a specific approach. After admission, travel uphill to the pine forest at the 400 m level. About 200 m beyond that area, park as directed, turn left and walk roughly 300 m towards the wild-sunflower forest.

Inside, the operator describes more than 3 km of walking paths across the flower area. That is a network, not a measured three-kilometre circuit you must complete. For a short visit, choose a signed path, keep track of the junction back to your entrance and retrace it to the 300 m approach and parking place. Agree a meeting point with anyone waiting by the vehicle.

The guide forecasts the 2026 season from 17 October to 6 December, with the strongest display expected from 1 to 23 November. Flowers respond to weather, so these dates help choose a visit rather than guarantee what will be in bloom. Keep the plants intact and stay on the paths between them.

Separate admission from the return drive

The seasonal hours notice applies from 5 October to 13 December 2026. Ticket sales and admission run 05:00–19:00 Monday–Thursday and 04:00–20:00 Friday–Sunday. These are entry windows, not evidence that the flower paths are lit or a reason to begin a late forest walk.

Arrive with daylight for the path and downhill return. A driver or taxi needs to wait at, or return to, the agreed parking area; do not assume a city ride will be available on the mountain when you finish. The park warns of busy holiday traffic, so allow extra road time on weekends.

Registered accommodation and certain authorised users have a separate pre-arranged outside-hours procedure. That exception does not extend ordinary day-visitor admission. For current access, the park hotline is +84 966 173 119.
