Checking the route

For a first short visit to Kullaberg, use the lighthouse area as the destination. Park at Fyrparkeringen, walk toward Kullen Lighthouse and naturum, and return by the same approach. This gives you the peninsula's sea view without committing to a longer cliff path or a cave descent.

Kullaberg is a rocky headland with steep slopes and wide views toward Öresund and Kattegat. Naturum explains the reserve from the habitats above the water to marine life below it. The outdoor view and the indoor exhibits work well together, provided your visit fits the center's current opening period.

The approach from Fyrparkeringen

Drive toward Kullens fyr and use the large designated car park before the lighthouse area. The reserve's practical information gives about 500 m on foot from this parking area. Follow the signed approach to naturum beside the lighthouse, then use the same route back. Accessible parking is separately provided near the kiosk and naturum for eligible visitors.

Bus 202 serves the lighthouse car park only in summer according to the reserve. Do not transfer that service to an October plan. If you need public transport, check the exact date and the final walking approach with Skånetrafiken before deciding whether this particular stop fits.

Match the visit to the 2026 hours

The current Swedish visitor page lists naturum open daily 11:00–16:00 in October 2026 and on November 1, then closed for the season from November 2. The English page still displays a summer 2025 hours block, so use the dated 2026 schedule for this visit and recheck before departure.

Outside, keep to the managed lighthouse approach and open viewing areas. A path dropping toward caves or the rocky shore is a separate terrain choice. Ask naturum for an appropriate named trail if you want more walking rather than following the first coastal branch.

Follow designated parking rules and any local closures. The reserve permits cooking only at fixed designated barbecue places, and an enhanced fire ban overrides even those permissions. A packed picnic avoids making a cooking stop part of this brief outing. If the cliff paths are the reason for your visit, use the trail-description guide to compare their complete return before leaving the lighthouse area.
