Igidae: Walk from Dongsaengmal to Oryukdo
Choose Busan’s coastal cliff path as a point-to-point outing, with stairs, finish transport and the optional skywalk kept distinct.

Igidae connects Dongsaengmal with Oryukdo Sunrise Park along Busan’s coastal cliffs. Choose the crossing for rock formations, bridges and changing harbour views. It ends at the opposite side of the peninsula, so decide how you will leave Oryukdo before beginning at Dongsaengmal.
Follow the named coastal course
The city’s Geopark guide describes a 3.95 km (2.5 mi) course taking about two hours: Dongsaengmal, Eoul Madang, Nongbawi Rock and Oryukdo Sunrise Park. That is the coastal section, with stairs and cliff-side bridges, rather than a paved waterfront promenade.
Use the signed coastal route and allow extra time for pauses. The rock platforms and wave-cut forms explain why Igidae is part of the geopark; you do not need to descend onto a rock shelf to follow the walk. The operator advises against entering the course at night. Leave enough daylight for the whole crossing rather than planning to reach its last bridge at dusk.
Two bus approaches, not a metro at each end
The guide identifies Igidae entrance and Oryukdo SK View apartments as bus access points, connecting with Kyungsung University–Pukyong National University Station on Metro Line 2. The station is not the walking finish. Check the current city-bus routing and walking approach to Dongsaengmal; then confirm the Oryukdo departure for your return to the metro or accommodation.
If arriving by car, arrange how you will retrieve it after the one-way walk. Retracing the trail would roughly double the coastal walking distance and needs its own daylight allowance. Our point-to-point guide helps compare that with a road transfer.
Oryukdo Skywalk is a separate visitor facility, not a required final stage of the trail. Keep it optional and follow its own operating notices. For current path or weather restrictions, ask Oryukdo Haeparang Tourist Information Center on +82 51 607 6395. A general city news page does not confirm every coastal access point.
