TreeTop Walk: Use the Windsor Loop and Leave Time After the Bridge
Choose the seven-kilometre forest route to Singapore’s canopy bridge, with its Monday exception, one-way crossing and full return to Windsor.

TreeTop Walk puts you above Singapore’s forest canopy on a narrow suspension bridge. Choose the loop from Windsor Nature Park if the bridge is your main destination: NParks lists it as about 7 km (4.3 mi), taking three to four hours. That is a forest hike with slopes and stairs, not a short stroll from a reservoir car park.
Start at Windsor and complete the return loop
The official walking guide connects Windsor with Peirce Track, the Ranger Station and TreeTop Walk. Follow the signs for the bridge rather than MacRitchie Reservoir Park, which is a different, longer starting option.
The crossing has one-way circulation. After the bridge, continue through the Petaling section to Petaling Hut, where the return goes towards the Ranger Station and Windsor. Do not plan to turn around halfway across or retrace the bridge. The same-start loop still has a substantial forest return after the canopy view.
The bridge closes before the forest does
TreeTop Walk hours are 09:00–17:00 Tuesday–Friday and 08:30–17:00 on weekends and public holidays, with last entry at 16:45. It is closed on Mondays except public holidays. Windsor and the reserve normally open 07:00–19:00; those wider hours do not extend bridge entry.
The 16:45 last-entry time is a deadline for arriving at the bridge, not a time to start from Windsor. Plan the full three-to-four-hour forest loop, plus pauses, to finish before 19:00, and reach the bridge before its last entry. The approach is already part of that total; the return after the crossing still needs its own allowance.
Add the station approach
Windsor’s entrance is at 30 Venus Drive. NParks gives a 1.2 km approach from Upper Thomson MRT or 1.1 km from Bright Hill; walking back to the station comes after the forest loop. The car park is also gated 07:00–19:00, with no entry or exit outside those hours.
Bring water and shoes suited to wet forest steps. NParks advises avoiding forested areas during and immediately after bad weather. If the bridge or approach is closed, keep outside the barrier rather than attempting a forest shortcut.
