Henderson Waves: A Short Return Walk from Telok Blangah Hill Park
Choose the wave-shaped bridge as a bounded visit, with nearby slope works kept separate from a full Southern Ridges crossing.

Henderson Waves crosses the road between two wooded hills in a series of timber-lined curves. Choose it as a short visit from Telok Blangah Hill Park when you want the bridge and harbour-side greenery without committing to the full Southern Ridges. Return to the same park access afterwards; the longer network brings extra junctions and current works into the day.
Cross the bridge, then come back
The bridge is 274 m long. That measures the crossing, not the walk from your vehicle or bus stop. Its undulating ribs form sheltered alcoves where you can pause while keeping the through path clear.
Start within Telok Blangah Hill Park, follow the signed approach to Henderson Waves, cross to the Mount Faber side and return across the bridge. Then retrace the permitted park approach to the point where you arrived. This keeps your transport at one end instead of leaving you to find a ride from another hill.
The park entrance is on Telok Blangah Green, off Henderson Road, with designated car parks. Choose that actual park access in your transport plan rather than using the bridge’s centre pin as a drop-off point: the pedestrian deck is above the road. Allow for the climb from the road and the return descent. NParks states that the park has no wheelchair access.
Nearby works still matter
A current NParks notice closes a section of park footpath for slope works from 13 June 2025, with completion expected on 31 March 2028. Follow the marked alternative path; do not cross the work area to preserve an older walking itinerary. The notice is not evidence that Henderson Waves itself is closed, but it can affect the park approach you intended to use.
Make the visit in daylight so that signs and steps are easy to follow. The park’s general 24-hour opening does not apply to every nearby path: the Earth Trail must not be entered after 19:00. Forest Walk, HortPark and Kent Ridge are outside this short return plan. If a barrier interrupts the bridge approach, turn back through the park rather than improvising a longer Southern Ridges diversion.
