Krimml Waterfalls: The Lower View or the Climb Above
Separate the short lower-waterfall visit from the sustained ascent, and keep WaterWorlds admission distinct.

At Krimml, you can see the lower waterfall without turning the outing into an ascent of all three tiers. The difference is substantial: the lowest view is close to the visitor parking, while the waterfall path climbs through repeated bends to higher platforms. Decide which day you want before buying attractions around it.
The falling water is visible from a series of viewpoints rather than one uninterrupted balcony. Higher platforms change the angle and height; they also commit you to walking downhill again. A lower visit is a complete choice if the spray, scale and first fall are what you came for.
Two useful stopping points
The Alpine Association’s waterfall-path page puts the lowest waterfall about 10–15 minutes from the parking. Access to Kürsingerplatz at the lower fall is described as suitable for visitors with disabilities. That statement applies to the lower approach, not to the whole climbing path.
For a longer walk, the serpentine path continues to the uppermost fall. The operator gives approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from the lower fall to the top. Allow separately for the approach, viewpoints, rests and descent. Going up for that time does not bring you back to the car. Choose a platform as your turnaround if the climb or weather is taking more time than expected; you do not have to reach the Achental beyond.
Buy the path you intend to use
The official ticket page distinguishes the waterfall-path fee from a combined WaterWorlds and waterfall-path ticket. The combined product is sold at the WaterWorlds ticket office and includes P4 parking. If using the included P4 parking, have the parking ticket validated at the WaterWorlds ticket office by 4:30 pm. Other nearby car parks have charges. Do not assume a WaterWorlds attraction ticket, parking payment and waterfall-path entry are interchangeable.
For the straightforward driving visit, park in a designated waterfall lot, follow the signed approach to the path ticket point, then walk to Kürsingerplatz. Return by the same approach. If you continue uphill, descend the waterfall path before retracing that lower leg. This keeps the car return independent of any restaurant opening.
Near the end of the season
The operator’s main ticket information lists the path from May 1 to the end of October. This is seasonal access, not a year-round promenade. In October, recheck the path’s news and local weather; cold spray and ice can change footing even when the broader holiday region is operating normally.
WaterWorlds has its own dates and opening hours. A last admission time there is not the waterfall path’s last admission. If you want both, place the longer uphill walk first only when you have enough time for the descent and the attraction’s remaining hours. Elevation gain helps explain why a short distance up a waterfall can demand more effort than a longer valley path.
